Does Beauty Lead To Fame And Riches?
Getting Control of Your Looks Can Get You Control of Your
Life
“It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is
goodness.”-LEO TOLSTOY
Money comes to those who look good. It may not be politically correct to say, but
the truth is that beautiful people make more money, get better jobs, better partners,
better sex and so much more. There isn’t an abundance of multi-million dollar
unattractive actors now is there?
It’s a hard truth but beauty is not for vanity. It’s for survival and success. Over 10
years ago, Nancy Etcoff wrote a book called “Survival of the Prettiest: The Science
of Beauty,” where she went into detail about just how inspiring and captivating, and
important beauty is in our world.
Eleanor Roosevelt, who accomplished so much in her life, when asked what she
wished for, had said she wished she could be beautiful.
We can’t help it. We want to be attractive. We can surely live a full life, with many
accomplishments, but our physical appearance is the first thing people see, it is
always noticed and can never be hidden and many times we are judged on it
before we can let our inner beauty shine through.
As we get older our beauty tends to fade and we rely more on our skills.
Unfortunately where you have skills, there is someone younger and more attractive
who may be out for your job. Is there nothing you can do? Sure, you know your job,
but they can do it cheaper, can impress clients more simply because they look
good.
It’s time for you to take your life back into your hands. The only way that you will get
what you want is to commit to the changes in your life.
In this seminar, we are going to see the many ways that beauty affects our life and
how we can set a program to retain our youth and looks, bringing us the success
we are entitled to.
4
Everything has a rationale in the world of beauty and looks. It is said that men like
longer legs on a woman because when seeking out a partner longer legs means
they can run faster, and survive in the wild. They look for women with big breasts
because it is an indication that they will be good at breastfeeding, while wide hips
are a good indicator that the woman will be successful at child bearing. Beauty is
part of evolution.
When men look at a woman that has sagging cheeks and wrinkles, the assumption
is that she is older and not fertile anymore. The natural reaction is to not be as
attracted to her, even if the male is older as well.
In 2005 the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis conducted a study that found that
attractive, lean, tall people make about 5% more than their unattractive
counterparts. Though unfair, many people assume that if someone is not attractive
they may not be good at tasks that have nothing to do with appearance.
So, we must take control of our appearance to survive. It will take work, but if you
commit to this change, beauty is in the palm of your hands.
The Benefits of A Good Sex Life
How Sex Plays a Role In Beauty
When you feel beautiful, its no secret that you feel like you can accomplish
anything. You feel smarter and more on your game. You feel like you can beat the
competition. It’s amazing how just looking a little more attractive brings your selfesteem
to a whole other level.
Being more attractive also makes it easier for us to find and keep sex partners. It is
a widespread theory that beautiful people have more sex partners and start
younger.
But is sex really that important? The answer is yes. Sex has many benefits for both
men and women, outside the obvious need for reproduction and the emotional
benefits. Sex can actually help us live longer, better, healthier lives.
5
According to many theories, but compiled in one article here:
http://www.webmd.com/sex-relationships/features/10-surprising-health-ben...
sex, sex has many benefits. They list just ten of them. They are:
• Stress reduction: sex brings down blood pressure and lower blood pressure,
more confidence and handling stressful situations better helps you look more
attractive.
• Boosting your immune system: regular sex helps release immunoglobin A, which
helps fight off colds, and no one looks hot when they’re sick
• It burns calories, making you thinner and more attractive
• Having sex regularly reduces the risk of heart attack in men
• sex helps boost self esteem and confidence and that makes people automatically
more attractive.
•It increases the hormone oxytocin, which helps us build love and trust
• It reduces pain
• It reduces prostate cancer risk
• It strengthens pelvic muscles
• It helps you sleep better, and who doesn’t look better after a good night’s sleep.
But the truth is that sometimes, as we age, especially with the onset of menopause
and andropause, sex isn’t always so appealing anymore. We are embarrassed of
our symptoms, like hot flashes and moodiness. We are depressed sometimes and
that makes our partners not want to have sex with us. For men, they may not only
have a problem with erectile dysfunction, but also with just wanting sex. This could
be linked to hormone levels.
The key is to want more sex, to feel confident and ready physically and mentally for
sex. It is possible to work on that with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
and other methods in a program of making you look and feel younger and more
healthy. Once your libido returns, you will want sex more and get to experience all
the above-mentioned benefits.

Natural Skincare Benefits
Simple Steps To Looking Younger
As we age, our skin starts to sag, maybe dry out. When we are teenagers, we have
problems with pimples, and oily skin. We suffer, waiting for the day when our skin is
young, natural, vibrant and healthy.
Look at the stars. How is it that their skin is so perfect and that they never seem to
have a blemish? Well, besides all the money at their disposal, they also make sure
to have a very strict skin regimen, and most times, if it’s not surgery, there are very
natural, and very useful elements to it.
In order to have your skin look its best naturally, you need to make take control of
three main things in your daily routine.
• The first and most important is diet. What you eat goes straight to your skin.
Dermatologists have only recently starting accepting this theory that, to Doctor
Kalitenko, has always been obvious. A diet of too many refined carbs can lead to
high blood sugar and that can cause acne, for example.
Vitamins like Vitamin E can help boost and support skin (nuts, seeds, and vegetable
oils). Vitamin C contributes to collagen production (red berries, kiwi and red and
green bell peppers). Zinc (cereal and pasta) and Iron (liver, red meat, beans and
dark greens) help with cell production, while vitamin A (sweet potatoes, carrots and
spinach) helps keep skin smooth. Omega 3 fatty acids (salmon, flax seeds and
walnuts) lead to fewer wrinkles.
• Beauty sleep isn’t just a joke. Sleep is crucial to good skin. And by sleep, we
mean a good night’s sleep. Dark circles, bags under the eyes, limp hair, fine lines,
even rashes are caused by not getting enough sleep. As we get older, the results
show quicker.
There was a time in your 20s when you could get four hours of sleep and feel fine
the next day. As you get into your 30s you notice that it’s a little harder to hide the
dark circles. In your 40s, losing one good night’s sleep can throw you off for the
whole week.
A good night’s sleep requires eight hours, with no light, no distractions. Go to sleep
early. Try to eliminate the stress from your sleep. Make sure you are comfortable.
7
• Water! Water! Water! Staying hydrated is perhaps the most important thing that
you can do naturally for your skin. Drinking enough water every day can help flush
the toxins out of your system, as well as hydrate your skin. Our cells absorb the
water that we drink, it makes us relaxed and invigorated, and it shows in our skin.
Make sure you drink your eight glasses a day.
There are many ways to take care of your skin. Many natural ways to keep yourself
looking younger.
Many women use cosmetics to help them look younger. Let’s take a look at
cosmetics next time.
Cosmetics To Hide Your Imperfections
Sometimes It’s Ok To Cheat
I know I always talk about natural. Everything should be natural. We should eat a
caveman diet, we should detoxify, eat natural, sleep natural, etc. But a little bit of
cheating never hurt anyone. Cosmetics are where I would say it is ok to cheat a
little.
I don’t think that it’s healthy for the skin to wear too much makeup, but I also think
that a little bit doesn’t hurt anyone.
Make-up can help us hide imperfections. It can also sometimes even help to clear
up skin, depending on what kind we use. Make-up is a quick fix to a woman’s
emotional state. Just a small bit of make-up can make us feel more beautiful and if
we feel beautiful we act more confident, more outgoing, and tend to attract the
attention of potential partners.
Cosmetics, besides making us feel better, can also make us look better. They can
make us look younger and make us more attractive to partners. After all, if it is true
that we are all looking for someone young and fertile or out to convince someone
that we are young and fertile, makeup can help us.
According to Nancy Etcoff, author of “Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of
Beauty,” we risk so much just for beauty. In Brazil, she says, there are more Avon
saleswomen then there are people in their Army. In the United States, we spend
8
more money on beauty than on education and social services. And, in the realm of
cosmetics, 1,484 tubes of lipstick and 2,055 jars of skin care products are sold
every minute.
But, as with anything else, moderation is the key. Try and stay away from parabens
in cosmetics, which are used as preservatives. Parabens have been linked to breast
cancer, among other things.
So, if it makes you feel better, it can make you better in this case. A study done by
Japanese researchers showed us the obvious. Taking a group of people with visible
marks on their faces, using concealer and makeup to hide the marks, and then
recording their reactions as they looked into a mirror, showed researchers that
people were automatically happier, more vibrant, and more confident.
Feeling more beautiful does wonders for the self-esteem. It is just a small solution in
the fight to stay beautiful as we age.
Next time, we will talk about simple skin treatments.
Microdermabrasion and Facials
Undoing What We Have Done
The natural solution is always best. We should live a caveman lifestyle, with a
caveman diet, no toxins, nothing harmful or manmade. Unfortunately, our society
puts some serious limits on how natural we can be.
We can’t always find the organic solution, can’t rid the toxins from the air, and can’t
keep our bodies as pure as they would need to be. And those outside elements,
the poisons of western society, affect our bodies, and our beauty.
So sometimes, we need to look to outside solutions to help us clean up the mess
made by western lifestyle.
Put simply, sometimes we need microdermabrasion and various types of facials
and simple procedures to keep our skin natural, vibrant and young.
9
The right facial, done by a professional, created for your skin, can work well,
depending on what you are looking for. For example, at Margaret’s Paradise, a spa
our offices often team up with, they work on exfoliating and hydrating. Facials can
help detoxify your skin, or make it look more vibrant if you are under a lot of stress
that has shown up on your face. There are facials that can help calm skin, for
people who have rosacea or other skin problems. Then there are facials that help to
firm the skin as well.
Microdermabrasion, which is another common form of simple procedure, can also
benefit your skin, making you look younger and more beautiful. It will help rid your
skin of large pores, blackheads, sunspots and fine lines.
Unfortunately, the life that we live in requires us to do more to help detoxify our
bodies. Acne, for example, is a problem with our diets. It is almost purely a diet
issue, mostly from carbohydrates.
The wrong foods, combined with the toxins and our skin can’t function properly
and that’s why we have so many skin issues. It’s why we age early, why we can
see the results of the days on our faces. The wrong foods create the wrong skin
secretions, for example. Let’s take cosmetics, which I am not against. But daily use
of cosmetics plug up the skin and the pores and our skin can’t breathe.
We need cleaning and daily cleaning doesn’t cut it. If you want to look more
beautiful, committing to treatments like these shouldn’t be out of the question. Even
though these ways are not the most natural, we need them to combat the poisons
we are faced with everyday, which are unnatural as well.
Next time, we will examine botox and restylane and how those procedures can help
us bring beauty and success back into our lives.
10
Botox and Restylane Can Make You Young Again
Beauty Is Not Only In The Eye of the Beholder
Unfortunately, we live in a society where we are always fighting the clock. We are
always in competition with those who are younger. We are always trying to get the
mate, get the money, get the job, get the happiness. And that is what life is all
about. But as we age, and our looks change, we notice it’s not so easy to achieve
those things anymore.
A beauty regimen helps. Trying to work to stay younger and more healthy helps.
We talked about eating healthy, getting enough sleep, enough water, wearing
make-up and simple skin treatments.
But nothing is going to give us the quick fix that we sometimes need.
Here, we sometimes need to look to products like Restylane and Botox.
Restylane is known as a dermal filler, basically doing exactly what it sounds like: it
fills in face wrinkles. The procedure is done in office, done in about 30 minutes and
the best part about restylane is that it is natural. It is not an animal product, and is
biodegradable. Treatments can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months and the benefits
are immediate.
It’s important for us to look and feel beautiful. Beauty is what makes the world go
round and we can’t help or change that the beautiful people in the world get the
perks. As politically incorrect as it is to say, unfortunately it’s true that those who
have the looks are usually more successful, in love, life, money and sex.
Botox is another alternative. Once considered the top of the line, it is now not the
first choice, though it is still an available and worthwhile treatment. Much like
Restylane, it works immediately and generally lasts 3 to 4 months. It was once the
only treatment available, but options are much more open now.
There is no shame in getting the boost to help get the results. There are many ways
that we need to work to take control of the aging process on our bodies. Next time,
we will take a look at bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

Hormones and Aging:
Beauty Isn’t A Secret Anymore
You are stuck with the looks you were born with, unless you’re up for getting a
facelift. You do what you can with your looks. Sometimes you have better days.
You try to eat right and sleep well. You look to creams and potions and facials to try
and keep your skin young and supple as you get older. But, can you get a tangible
hold on what actually makes you beautiful and use it to your advantage?
The answer is yes.
So far, we have talked about some of the ways that you can stay beautiful. Though
nothing can be guaranteed to make you beautiful, every way that I have talked
about so far can help you attain better, younger looking and healthier skin. Some
are a little harder to achieve than perhaps putting on make-up to cover your flaws,
but all of the ideas are rational and readily available.
But now you want to take a bigger step in your commitment to keeping your youth
and beauty.
Well, estrogen makes you beautiful. It’s documented in many studies that the
amount of estrogen a woman has is in direct correlation to how attractive she is
seen as.
Check out this article all about it: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn8251.
Take a look at the pictures and see which woman you find to be more attractive,
then read the piece to find the answer.
A study done by the University of St. Andrews found that in the seven years during
puberty a woman’s estrogen levels, which are hereditary, determine how her
features will be defined.
The study, which took pictures of women every day during a 30 day period, found
that during their menstrual cycle, the period when their estrogen level was highest,
they were seen as more attractive.
Estrogen is responsible for bone formation, for breast formation, for tissue and
other growth. As we age, estrogen levels go down.
12
But the great part is that with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy you can
bring your estrogen levels back up to what they could be, making us look and feel
younger, and more attractive.
For men, the most obvious effects of testosterone is that it shapes the lower face.
Since this is so visible to a potential partner, masculine faces, which are usually
determines more attractive, tend to be associated with higher levels of
testosterone.
Of course, none of these methods that I have mentioned so far go beyond skin
deep, but sometimes the skin deep solutions can bring on a whole new world of
change and confidence. Next time, we will talk about how to deal with our new
commitment to beauty.
Are You In The Mood To Be Beautiful?
How To Face Your New Face
There are so many methods to try in order to be and stay beautiful. We can work
on everything from covering our flaws, to fixing our features, to making ourselves
healthier and having more sex, all to achieve a higher level of attractiveness to help
us survive and succeed.
But, think of this: sometimes, doesn’t a smile on an ordinary face make all the
difference? Sometimes, someone who can look ordinary can become extraordinary
with the presence and grace they give off with just their personality, confidence,
and smile.
Isn’t it beautiful to see someone’s eyes light up when they smile, or a woman walk
tall with confidence? Doesn’t it make you look beautiful when you feel beautiful,
when you don’t hide behind the person you walk with, but look people in the eye
and show them how you truly feel about yourself?
You can look attractive by putting lipstick on your face; you can have
microdermabrasion done to help your skin shine; you can get your estrogen levels
back to normal to help you look younger, you can eat healthier to get rid of
13
acne…but the truth is that holistic care is the only thing that can make you into a
princess.
Neurotransmitter balancing, along with a designed beauty program for your needs,
is crucial. Dealing with the way we feel and view things, the way we handle
problems, how timid we are, or self conscious we are, can all make us look more
beautiful.
Look at Barbra Streisand. Beautiful? Not when you put her features together and
examine them…but look at the confidence, the way she shines, the way she glows
when she smiles. Look at actress Ellen Degeneres. For years, she was not
considered an attractive woman. Now, she is the spokesperson for a major line of
make-up, at the age of 50! And yes, you may look at her and obviously see she
isn’t a supermodel, but her happiness is visible as soon as you look at her face, and
she is more attractive now than she was 20 years ago!
Neurotransmitter balancing can help with libido, anxiety, depression, appetite
control, mood swings, attention issues and menopause symptoms. Just helping us
get a better hold on our confidence and strengths, making us feel like we can
achieve anything, can make us more attractive to the opposite sex.
It helps us feel younger, and helping us feel younger, combined with a program to
make us look younger, shows a potential mate that we are still fertile (even though
we may not be) and makes us more beautiful to them.
Neurotransmitter balancing is done in our offices, where we have created a detailed
questionnaire to find out what character flaws you feel you have and what ways we
can work to fix them. It is a fascinating subject and incredible to know that the traits
you once thought were just a part of you can actually be fixed and changed.
For that, you can call our offices at 718-382-9200 to make an appointment.

Beauty is Not On The Outside Anymore
Take Control of Being Beautiful
Beauty is not only demanded in our world, but it is a necessity for success. Beauty
isn’t only responsible for poems of love and loss, or great works of art, it is also
what makes the world go round. In the never-ending quest to be more beautiful,
the beauty industry tops all others in this country. We spend billions and billions of
dollars every year on everything from make-up to surgery, to hormones, to
procedures, to therapy, to deal with the way we look and the way that it is
perceived by others.
We live in a world where the more attractive a person is, the more likely they will be
hired, the more clients they will impress, the better impression they will make, the
more money they will make, the better partner they will find, the more sex they will
have.
Beauty isn’t about vanity, or just feeling good, although that is what we aim for:
feeling beautiful. It is also what we need to survive.
As we get older, our beauty tends to fade. When we look our age, we are thought
of as “too old,” and that makes people, including employers feel like we are no
longer capable. We need to fight twice as hard to keep the jobs that we earned.
We are judged on our appearance all the time. It’s the first way that others have to
gage who you are. And though we may be the most beautiful, smartest and most
capable person on the inside, if we look old and tired, sagging and heavy, sad and
moody, the chances are that we will be conceived as sloppy, unattractive, and
incompetent.
We talked about ways that our offices can help to work with you on some of your
beauty issues.
• Diet
• Sleep
• facials and microdermabrasion
• cosmetics
• Restylane and Botox
• hormone replacement
• neurotransmitter balancing.
15
This is a lot to consider. But the alternative, plastic surgery, is dangerous, often not
what we expected, expensive, and doesn’t deal with our emotional state.
At our offices, all of the above-mentioned are worked into a program designed for
you. We have accurate testing methods, so that we understand the number and
what you need, but at the same time, we pride ourselves on treating the whole
person, not the number.
It is too easy for a doctor to look at a patient’s numbers and decide what it right for
them, sometimes without even talking to them, but there is so much more to
helping someone find out what it truly wrong and fixing the problem instead of
looking for quick solutions.
We get to the root of the problem, work with you from the ground up, and help you
look and feel younger, at your comfort level.
Are you ready to commit to a change? To receive the success, the accolades and
the compliments that you have been waiting for? To use your beauty and newfound
confidence to get the job, the partner, the goal and the life you have wanted?
In Nancy Etcoff’s book, “Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty,” she says
it best: “We allow that violence is done to the body among "primitive" cultures or
that it was done by ancient societies, but we have yet to realize that beauty brings
out the primitive in every person. During 1996 a reported 696,904 Americans
underwent voluntary aesthetic surgery that involved tearing or burning their skin,
shucking their fat, or implanting foreign materials. Before the FDA limited silicone gel
implants in 1992, four hundred women were getting them every day. Breast
implants were once the province of porn stars; they are now the norm for
Hollywood actresses, and no longer a rarity for the housewife.”
Beauty is now attainable for the average person, and by means other than surgery.

If you're still not sure how you can benefit from Functional Medicine Approach, look at the list below to find out how others are getting better with our treatments:
You're at peak performance. Your hormone levels are optimal, your fat-to-muscle ratio is low, and your vitamin levels are optimal, provided that you're not toxic.
Your hormone levels start declining. The first to go down is the growth hormone melatonin, then DHEA. You're fat-to-muscle ratio starts climbing up. You may notice that your energy level is not as high as before, and your sleep is not as deep and refreshing as in your 20s. Your sex drive and performance levels are still high, unless you're toxic. At this time, you may consider checking your hormones, vitamin and mineral levels to make sure that your performance is optimal.
Your hormone levels are declining at a more steady pace. For women, it is progesterone and testosterone that go down first, resulting in weight gain, poor sleep and mood swings. Then estrogen goes down, resulting in hot flashes, insomnia, unstable mode and anxiety. Your periods become irregular, then less frequent, and then stop altogether. In men testosterone declines while estrogen is going up, resulting in weight gain, muscle loss, low sex drive and erectile dysfunction. At this time you should check your hormones, minerals and vitamins to correct hormonal imbalance.
Your sex hormones, as well as melatonin, growth hormone DHEA continue to decline. At that time your digestive tract function starts to deteriorate, resulting in poor vitamin and mineral absorption. This makes your problems even worse. As this time it is necessary to check your minerals and vitamins to prevent life-threatening deficiencies. Checking your hormones is imperative to correct hormonal imbalance.
Your sex hormone levels start approaching zero. Growth hormone melatonin and DHEA are going down also. Your digestive tract function continues to degenerate. You start losing your bone strength, your memory is degenerating, as well as your vision, your ability to concentrate and sleep. At this time, if you do not replenish your hormones, vitamins and minerals, you're at high risk of losing your bone mass, muscle mass, memory and sex life.
