ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder was linked to:

  1. Toxins like pesticides, solvents, PCBs, metals, smoking, etc.(1,2)
  2. Not enough nutrients like omega 3 fatty acids, Magnesium Zinc, etc. (3, 4, 5).
  3. Too much foods we are not supposed to eat: processed foods, etc.

What needs to be done:

  1. Eat organic to avoid toxins.
  2. Increase uptake of cold water fish, provided that it is not loaded with mercury, nuts and seeds, whole grains.
  3.  Eat more fruits and vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables, carrots, tomato, etc.
  4. Stay away from processed foods, refined carbohydrates, white wheat and diary products, deep fried foods, soft drinks, food additives.
  5. Eliminate foods you are allergic to.

Obviously the diet cannot solve all the probems.  Diet alone cannot detoxify from heavy metals.  To figure out what is going on you need to see Functional Medicine Doctor to go to the root cause of the problem and elimiate it.

Good luck!
